Princess Dance
Designed for girls ages 3-6, this is a pre-ballet class themed around a different princess each month. Our little “Princesses” get a story, a coloring page and an opportunity to “dress up” each month. Parents have a viewing day each semester & girls perform their dances in the Spring Recital. Curriculum also includes some ballet terms, steps, and positions as well as dancing their “feelings” with various rhythms.

Pirates Play
Designed especially for boys ages 3-6, this is a pre-karate, rhythm-based class themed around Pirates, treasure maps, some marching and Hip Hop routines. Choreography is done especially for boys. Each month includes investigating a new treasure map location, dressing a bit as a Pirate, hearing a real Pirate Story, practicing some karate moves, and preparing routines based on those moves, drums and rhythms. Boys love it!

Combo Classes
These classes are designed especially for dancers ages 5-7 years old and include combinations of either Ballet & Tap or Ballet and Jazz. Combo classes are recommended for students who wish to try a variety of dance styles, but might not be sure which they prefer. Focus of these classes if to introduce dancers to rhythms, movement and styles.

Ballet Classes
Ballet is the basis for all dance and every student who wishes to learn how to dance should study ballet for a couple of years, in order to develop the right muscles and to learn correct techniques. Ballet is truly the main course of the dance meal. It may be taken at the same time as other classes such as Hip Hop or Jazz.

Jazz
Jazz style of dance is what is seen in many Broadway shows such as "Cats." It is a structured, stylistic and energetic form of dance, with its roots in ballet and modern dance techniques. Dancers will develop flexibility, muscle strength, and understanding of rhythm. A foundation of jazz terms and combinations will be core for this class.
Tap
Dancers learn tap terminology while applying rhythm and timing to their tap. Beginning Tap introduces the basics of traditional tap dance. Intermediate and Advanced Tap incorporate "street" tap, a funky, stylistic form of tap. All levels emphasize clarity of rhythm, sound and the development of style through the use of the whole body.
Hip-Hop
Hip-Hop is a fast, high energy, explosive type of dance often seen in music videos and commercials (for example, dance moves seen in shows with Janet Jackson, Britney Spears, N’Sync). Dancers will learn the fundamentals of all styles of hip hop. Beginners will learn the foundations of different styles; Intermediate and Advanced Hip Hop will go into the detail of west coast, east coast, popping, locking, freestyle and more!
